Google AdWords
AdWords ads appear along the top or to the right of regular Google search results. They appear when someone uses a term in their search that matches words an advertiser bids on.
Re: Google AdWords
Google Adwords is basically pay-per-click advertising. Do a Google search - it doesn't matter what search term you use. When the results appear, either on the top, the side or both - you will see three or four ads highlighted. Those are paid ads. The company bid with Google on that search term so that when people enter that term, their ad would come up in the top three. Go to page two of the results and you will see more top listings - those companies bid a little less to end up on the second page.
